USS Moctobi 2000

The following color photos were taken on 1/29/2000 and sent to me by Tom Trischan from El Sobrante, CA. Tom has been working on the Red Oak Victory restoration and took these photos of the Moctobi and Quapaw while at Port Richmond. The ships have been moved a few feet to the other side of the slip since the Moctobi Rediscovered photos of 1999 and this move, although only a few feet, now places the Moctobi outboard from the Quapaw in the photos below. For identification you will see that the radar on the Moctobi is still installed while it has been removed on the Quapaw. The 1st photo in the 3rd row shows the After Conn. You can see that the wheel has been removed. This was stolen in a recent episode of vandalism. A black and white shot of the After Conn WITH the wheel intact can be seen on the "Rediscovered" link above. Special thanks to Tom for sending me these images. Just click on the photo for a larger view.
