Thanks to Norman C. Davis of
Huntington, WV. The two photographs above were taken in April and June of
1946 when Norman was a crewman onboard the Moctobi. The first photo shows
the Moctobi still painted a battleship gray. As this was 1946, I'm not
sure why it was that color but you can see in the second photograph that
it was now a lighter haze gray. I think the gray was actually a bit
lighter than we see now days.
