USS Moctobi (ATF-105)

Received on 6/28/99 from Ralph Carpenter. Here is a series of the Moctobi and crew shots taken in the period before I got onboard in 1968. From left to right: #1 The Moctobi at the Alpha Docks outside of Pearl Harbor during the winter of 1966. It's pretty dark in the photo but what light there is shows a proud silhouette none-the-less. #2 "Snipes" EM3 Bobbie Joe Hall, EM3 Roger Vetter, FN Harold Sandroff, EM3 Ralph Carpenter and EM2 Jay Smith pose for a picture on the dock backn 1965. #3 IC3 Gilbert Boissey (left) and EM3 Ralph Carpenter (right) With his back to the camera is SF1 Larry Roberts. #4. The Moctobi anchored off Ringman Reef. #5 Another shot anchored off Ringman Reef. The ship is assisting USAF bombing from high altitude with electronic assistance, i.e., target a small barge and beacon. Thanks for the great photos Ralph !
