These photos are from Tom "Booger" Burns. Booger is an ex-BM2 from the Moctobi. He left the ship in December 1969 to get out. I was in the hospital part of the year of 1969 so only served with Tom about 7 or 8 months. Photos: 1. Tom and Ship's Cook Tice. 2. Tom sitting on the gunwale with the YTM-764 (called the Cholocco) in the background preparing to be towed. 3. "Ol Navigator Tom" fixing the ship's position. Actually, navigation skills were (are ?) a requirement for advancement in the Deck ratings. I'm sure that Booger got us where we were going. 4. A mutual shipmate, Duane Dorsch. He was one of the Bos'n Mate Petty Officers and for a while, along with Tom, one of my bosses (until I got into the Radio Shack) 5. Mike Bruce and Tom with a flounder on a hook. LtJG Amsler is in the back. Thanks for the photos Tom.
