The following photos were
received from Ed Harvey with the USS Wright Association via Tom Kermen.
The photos are of the USN General Detail Instructions for Boot Camp in the
1940's and make very interesting reading. The photos were sent to the USS
Wright association by Ray Meiser, son of Gaelen Meiser (deceased) who was
in the USN from 17 Dec 1941 to 6 Nov 1945. "Gail" served aboard
the USS WRIGHT, later renamed the USS SAN CLEMENTE, as an Electricians
Mate Second Class. Ray was in the Coast Guard during and in Viet Nam on
